Assassin's Creed Introduces Surprising AoT Event for Holiday Season

In a bizarre crossover event that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

Third Free Story Content

This release also introduces the game's third free story addition, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted adventure pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe reveals a performative interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. True to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a original environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
